Let South Korea ReunifyReader comment on item: Korean Delusions [of Appeasement] Submitted by David Paul (United States), Jan 17, 2003 at 13:39 In light of the Sunshine Policy promoted by South Korea's President, and the growing dissatisfaction within the South Korean population for the United States, the question seems obvious. Why not leave South Korea to its own devices? If they are so eager to get in bed with an enemy who has pressed their borders and performed countless insurgency operations for so many decades on their soil, then why not let them? If they truly believe that the North is a benevolent, peace-loving nation, let them make this fatal miscalculation on their own. Only when T-72 tanks roll down the streets of Seoul will they realize just how deluded they have been. Why should American men pay the price in blood (again) for these people?
