No diversity of opinion.

As a card-carrying liberal, I'm outraged at what our American universities do. To have the liberal and conservative point of view expressed on campus is fundamental in properly educating students. I've been an Associate Professor of Sociology at a local community college for over 15 years. I always present both sides even though I disagree with the conservative viewpoint. But I have run up against faculty resistance. If we are going to educate our young minds (and older ones) we have to present the whole spectrum. One-sidedness breeds ignorance.
