Why are jews so scared of egpyt

Why are jews so scared of egpyt? here I have been reading how people are so worried about egpyt's weapon trade and how they will strike israel. Which is far superior in terms of "defense". Can't any middle eastern country have any kind of military advancements without them being accused of attacking israel soon?

Or is it the case of israel realising that the egyptians arent gonna stand and watch anyone, israel, saudi or any other take their land. Egyptians have owned egypt for thousands of years, I think its justified to defend their land by any means possible. And when I mean defend, I mean people not trying to take parts of their land on the other side of the nile!

ps. Yes I have an egpytian background, and yes im coptic.
