Columbia U. and Muslim community

Interesting comments coming out of C.U. and other parts of the world that you mention in this article. They fit very well with the pattern one would expect when a culture is faced with extinction, but hasn't yet become conciously aware of that fact yet. The late Prof. Harris ("Cannibals and Kings" - did you ever get a chance to read it? ) would have recognized what's happening and what will happen over the next 20 or 30 years.

I've read a few glimmers of recognition from some people in the press recently, but I don't get a feeling that there's widespread realization that the culture that births the kind of violence and terror that we've seen is doomed.
