My Biblical perspectiveReader comment on item: Daniel Pipes fights the worldwide threat of Islamism - from Malibu Submitted by Michael (United States), Mar 7, 2007 at 11:13 I would be delighted if a moderate Islam that would forswear violence and marginalize and excommunicate radical fundamentalist proponents would gain dominance. However, i don't believe that will happen until something devastating, something catastrophic happens to Islam to humble it and deligitimize it in the eyes of Muslims. If Bible prophesies are true, and to date everyone without exception has happened exactly the way the oracle of God spoke and wrote it, with only those events of the future pending fulfilment, then such an unmitigated and devastating defeat of Islam is ahead. The Bible records only one sixth of the (now Islamic) nation's armies sent against Israel will return to tell how God fought against them. In the reading of Eziekel chapters 38 and 39 it suggests to me nuclear events, biological events and most of all "friendly fire" where the Islamic armies are blinded and destroy each other in panic the way the marauding Midianite coalition of the nations surrounding Israel did in the Book of Judges chapters 6-8 when Gideon led Israel. If i understand Scripture alright, this is Islam's future and fall.
