Lack of awareness of situation in LebanonReader comment on item: U.S. Policy Toward Lebanon Submitted by Betty Jacobs (United States), Apr 8, 2003 at 03:24 My son, who is 44yr. old, was telling me about Lebanon and some of the things which happened in 1980-82. I became curious as the only fact I could remember was the bombing of the Marine barracks. So, I looked up U.S. in Lebanon. I had no idea that Lebanon had been invaded and occupied by Syria.
