To Frahad NavkhodaReader comment on item: Is Tariq Ramadan Lying [about Magdi Allam]? Submitted by G.Vishvas (Germany), Apr 18, 2007 at 06:08 Respected Mr. Navkhoda I never wrote all muslims ARE liars. I wrote "Islam can survive only through a constant injection of old lies (repetitions) and new lies (the only islamic inventions)." This implies: "muslims may or must lie for the sake of islam's survival." I wrote that muslim leaders and "educators" know that muslims must lie and manipulate in order to make islam survive. There are also the internalised lies –these are long-standing lies which no one recognises as lies anymore and they are believed in and passed around as truths. All ideologies have such internalised lies. In fact it is a basic characteristic of an ideology. And islam is – like it or not – an ideology. You have confused my sentences (intentionally?) to mean something which I did not say. One does not have to be an expert in order to have a correct opinion or judgement about an expansionist political ideology (like islam). Anyone who suffers because of islam or sees suffering taking place because of islam has the right to speak out about islam. He does not have to be an expert. "Only experts may have and express an opinion" – is one typical tyrannical way of suppressing crucial facts and truths. (If you are against the caste system then why do you leave the right to express opinion only to the "caste of so-called experts"? Who is to judge who is or is not an expert?). If you are flying in an aircraft piloted by someone else then you do not have to possess a captain's license in order to judge whether the pilot flies and lands the aircraft comfortably / safely or not. Brahmins do not exercise any power in India any more – depends of course upon what you define under "Brahmin". Just as in nazi Germany it was the habit to blame the jews for all the failures, so too it has become commonplace in today's India to blame the brahmins. Some Indians hate Brahmins to such an extent that if anything goes wrong anywhere they say it must be some brahminic conspiracy or participation. Or they call the miscreants as brahmins. Muslims ruled over most of India for several centuries and always boasted of being better than everyone else. So what are you crying about now? Muslims are backward because of islam and not because of the Brahmins – why blame Brahmins? So that you can conveniently shield islam and camouflage its inherent defects and deficiencies? The days of blaming the Brahmins are long over. Are you living in the year 2007 or 1927? Even in 1927 many brahmins were at the forefront of the struggle for social changes in favour of lower castes. (Dr. Ambedkar received help from many Brahmins). Caste system in some form or other is inherent to every large-enough human society. Islam has its own caste system and discriminations too – as also its feudalism, tribalism, classes, clans, sects, legal barriers, different rights for different groups etc. Human beings are neither equal nor equal-valued and every system, even the most egalitarian and idealistic, sooner or later falls apart into castes, sects, sub-groups etc. That is human nature and only Brahmins have the dishonesty to say it aloud – the others are more opportunistic and pretend equality in order to practise populism and missionary activity among the (largely naïve or gullible or foolish) masses and capture power. Islamic indoctrination tells you that you must always praise islam and never ever think of criticising islam. Otherwise you will land in allah's hell. Through this intimidation you muslims become incapable of recognising the defects and deficiencies of islam. And constantly blame the non-muslims (esp. jews, Brahmins etc.) for you islamically-caused failures. Islam is a 7th century ideology, totalitarian, using fascist methods, arab-centric etc. It is no model or guidance for the 21st century. But Islamic indoctrination is so massive and frightening that you muslims cannot and do not wish to and cannot wish to see this simple fact. This is what I mean when I say that islam is incompatible with honesty – this does not automatically imply that all muslims are always liars. Many muslims realise islam's faults, but prefer to remain silent out of fear. The treatment which islam gives or threatens to give to ex-muslims or suspected dissidents marks islam as a fascist ideology. I hope that a day comes (soon) where muslims can openly and safely talk about islam's failures and inherent defects and deficiencies. This will reduce the load of blame on jews, Brahmins etc. Can you achieve that for your own sake and for the sake of honesty? As regards the conflict "brahmin vs. dalit" – I am sure you understand that today's youth does not want to be punished for the sins of their ancestors. The caste system is outside of every civil society etc. – but nor does enforced equality lead to peace and happiness. If you don't drink alcohol and don't eat non-veg. food and don't smoke cigarettes then you surely do not want your daughter to marry someone who does. Some apartheid will always be our fate, it is even a necessity for protecting the weaker sections – don't be unrealistic about it.
