Off TrackReader comment on item: Parodying Khalil Gibran Submitted by Marc Weisburg (United States), Oct 30, 2007 at 13:01 As a proponent of Daniel Pipes and his website since 1999 I don't appreciate having my taste in poets mocked. If we want to win the hearts and minds of those who have blinders on concerning the realities of the islamists we should not digress on these petty issues. I go to this website to educate myself about the war against the Islamists and object to the parody of poetry. This poetry, by the way, is actually contrary to Islamist thought. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
