Good analysis of the basic problem. Get to the point where US interests arre first and foremost and afterwards those of the Iraqi regime which in the long run will stick a knife in the back of the US and its allies in Iraq.

Had the US Armed forces used Jewish translators instead of Arabs, they would have a much better understanding of what is happening around them, and with the understanding less problems coping from day to day.

Iraq should have been chopped into three right from the start in stead of listening to the Saudi Princes, and the Shite south should have been cut off from Iran and strictly controlled. Any one with any understanding of Islam knows that there is not hatred stronger than that between Shite and Sunni and there is no possibility in the context of Islam for it to ever end.

We are stuck with a stick which has crap on both ends of it. Impossible to leave, and very difficult to stay if we can not get our priorities right. First priority is to stop looking around for friends and to do what has to be done....
