Which came first, the chicken or the jihad?Reader comment on item: The day after Annapolis Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Dec 2, 2007 at 23:40 Interesting letter you wrote, Mr. Adams. I was thinking, the exception in the case of Israel taking land from Palestinians when they fire kassams is that as soon as the kassams (or suicide bombs, etc.) stopped, Israel would stop. In theory, it's a given that Palestinians would not stop, ergo their land would. The Islamic ideology, as you put it, states Muslims desire "re-claiming" land previously conquered by them (not surprisingly, they seem to believe, at one time or another, they conquered everything). Who first ruled what and where is a useless argument, looking backwards to justify what should be, or looking forward to justfy what should have been. This seems to be the whine of many a muslim, Palestinians included. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
