Loved what you wrote, Sir. You went to the core of one of the biggest problems with these religious ones. In my opinion, unlike Paterson, rabbis hate "questions" today, (just follow what you father and their fathers did in the past......), they hate confrontation; in the best sense it may come. They want you to say amen to all they think and of course, since you are a secular and their children and families are "...intrinsically..." more sacred than yours, when you sustain the rabbis children in yeshiva and then sustain them in the market, unable themselves to make profits, and then sustain their children...wow, what a Kavod.

Somehow they are more important. I have close examples in my family. Precisely speaking, this excessiveness of shiurim and "bouncing" and lack of respect in attitudes, respect to secular Jews (unless when they give money with no contestation whatsoever and in its daily basis). THE disdain retrieved me from a huge Teshuvah I was building kosherly with open hart, spirit and full dedication. Today, my lack of faith- I thank these rabbis and the so called "religious".

I respect Pat Robertson as he stands up for the best in the Jewish people, the bible, G-d and the best of respect to the human race. Those who criticize him are either liberals or fools or anti- Semites in an aim to block his precious work, or simply want in their illusion to show themselves bigger than what they are in reality, by again pointing out a finger to such a personality that unlike the entire world that boycott Israel, stands up, sacred and out friend.

Pat may commit mistakes and he is entitled to b/c he is HUMAN. Critics to Pat Robertson come as a shot in the Israelis' and Jews' feet.
