We'll never learn....Reader comment on item: Fulbright's Terrorist Tie Submitted by Michael Cohen (United States), Oct 21, 2003 at 11:33 Yes, Dr. Pipes, this is so typical and quite disturbing....The fact that our government has given SO much to the Palestinian leaders and has received only hatred in return is very scary. Also, the praising of recently-departed Prof. Said from Columbia U. was ridiculous, given the anti-Semitic and anti-American rhetoric he spouted for the last few years, before and after the Intifada began and 9/11. As someone with 3 family members murdered by Palestinian 'activists' it's very hard to be unbiased, but the U.S. government needs to openly vocal about this kind of thing, even if it offends Arabs. The comments this week from the Malaysian leader were shocking in their sincerity, and as naive as Madeline Albright is, I couldn't believe Condie Rice saying that he did not speak for most Arab Muslims....every other Arab and Muslim leader agreed and applauded his statements. Is ANYone in the state department awake? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
