You perceptively detected ambiguity in my concluding sentence. I could not comfortably verbalize the only conclusions to the Arab-Israeli conflict that seem possible. Let me try again.

The Arabs (Muslims) will EITHER relinquish their dreams of eliminating the Jewish state of Israel OR they themselves will be eliminated. To speak the unspeakable, genocide may have to be used to retaliate against attempted genocide.

Anyone believing this scenario unthinkable or impossible (1) has likely become jaded or forgotten the power of nuclear/biological weapons (http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/780) and (2) has no clue about the inner, millennial resilience of the Jewish spirit that survives within most Jews.

In order to avoid attempted genocide of Israeli Jews or genocide of Arabs (and the ensuing economic/environmental consequences to the entire world), therefore, the only reasonable option is to convince Arabs (Muslims) to relinquish their genocidal and imperialistic dreams. Such a project will be painful and, at times, violent and require perseverance by world leaders over several generations. This world project has only just begun. It requires world recognition of Islamic dreams of imperialism/genocide and the resolve not to accommodate such dreams despite current Islamic control of the world's energy resources.

Your other comments about violent tendencies in all people and required changes in the human species are bland, pacifist generalities. They are counterproductive because they cloud the specifics. What is needed is to address the special violence that arises because of "Palestinian aspirations". It must start from the recognition that current "Palestinian aspirations" are actually aspirations of Jewish genocide.

For the Jewish state of Israel its only real threat is from within, from a muddled, pacifist worldview that encourages illusions of appeasement. This worldview affects the current Israeli leadership and a minority of Israelis.
