Confessions from a former "leftie"Reader comment on item: Make the Saudis Pay for Terror Submitted by Uri Yoggev (United States), Apr 27, 2002 First; I would like to thank you very very much for your candid, wise and forward-thinking article.I am an Israeli-American, in America for 30 great years, being all this time on the so called " Israeli Left", and actually not even wanting to read your articles, because I used to find them as "Extremist Right", but my eyes, mind, and ears are open now. As far as this article is concerned, I could not agree with you any more. Furthermore, right now when our president meets with the "Prince" I find it to be frustrating if anything, but perhaps it will be a good time to pressure the Saudis very hard on stopping their sponsoring of terrorism' , instead of them pressuring us to so-called "restrain" Sharon. I guess the Saudis figured that "the best defense is a good offense." And lastly, but even more importantly, I would like you to continue your great work for America, Israel. and all the West. Please, recomend to me, and others the best way to help the " cause". - Uri Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
