Incitement and AntisemitismReader comment on item: [Muslims vs. Jews, the New] Locus of Euro-Hate Submitted by Salomon Benzimra (Canada), Dec 10, 2003 at 03:08 A few weeks ago, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda finally issued its verdict on the Hutus responsible for their incitement through the media to the mass killings of Tutsis in 1994.The attorney general said it showed that those who ordered others to kill bore the same responsibility as those who carried out the slaughter. In his view, "those who spread the message through the media and told the ordinary people to kill are far worse than people who followed their orders." He added that "the verdict would serve as a warning for journalists and editors in other conflicts." Does this not constitute a legal precedent to prosecute the inciters of antisemitism?
