doesn't it go both ways?Reader comment on item: Bibliography – My Writings on Moderate Muslims Submitted by justme (South Africa), May 14, 2008 at 09:25 it's quite funny to me that the muslims of the world need to adopt an apologetic attitude nowadays due to 9/11. they are called murderers, ignorant, dangerous and whatever else the western media can conjure up. in fairness, 9/11 was a tragedy that should never have happened... but so was vietnam, nicaragua and many other american atrocities. so many people have lost their lives, loved ones, livelyhood so that the american way may be preserved. the rest of the world was made to believe that every communist is the boogeyman and that one should not come within 100 miles of him just in case his communism is airborne and might infect the western mind. i guess the poor muslim is the new commie. i wonder who they'll choose as the boogeyman next to serve their agenda. the US has so much to answer for when it comes to the suffering of others but has this uncanny ability to make us all think that they are the ones fighting for what is good and just in the world. they need to ask themselves the question, "did we do anything to incur such wrath?".....hhmmmmm i am sure if the walls of the white house could speak, decent, peace-loving yanks would shudder when they hear the atrocities their government have committed over the last say...50 years. i'm not just talking about violent atrocities..( can anyone say north american free trade agreement?) the only difference between osama and an american president is that the american president knows how to hide his dispicable nature behind a PR machine. but then again, an american life is worth so much more than a non-yank right...? May God help us all.
