Moderate Muslims Or Islamists Who The Heck KnowsReader comment on item: Bibliography – My Writings on Moderate Muslims Submitted by steve jaubert (United States), Sep 12, 2010 at 16:29 Moderate muslims are essentially the same to me as islamists at least in potential until they prove themselves to me otherwise and I think they have a responsibility to do this in America since they are the ones with all the terrorism baggage and to say otherwise is the same as the insensitivity of the ground zero mosque and they deserve all the repercussions. They are the new kids on the block in this country and their religion is the one with the abundance of terrorists. Furthermore , the so called moderates who are silent and nonconvincing even when the ooh and ahh about a terrible event with weak platitudes it only reinforces in the public eye their lack of interest in wanting to show that they are Americans more so than anything near to islamist. Its like the bully in the neighborhood when you're growing up who smacks you good and all his friends are silent including your so called friends. They were all scared of getting smacked too. Its the same with moderate muslims except now we're in the game of life and that silence has a bigger price. If moderates are afraid to speak up then who controls them? If they don't want to because 'its their right' then don't feel bad when people associate them with not caring and subject to control by islamists are indeed siding with them. They will generate their own paths and if they are trully moderate and peaceful its time to start convincingly demonstrating just how their claims of peaceful Islam are substantial and quit just mouthing it everywhere. A man or woman shall be known by their actions not their words. Anyone can say anything. steve jaubert
