Reader comment on item: The Beltway Snipers' Motives

Submitted by Len Porochnia (United States), Jun 27, 2008 at 23:14

The association of the 'Beltway Snipers' with Islam was first revealed to me by Robert Spencer's book "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (And the Crusades)". This is what brought me to this website.

My first, and lasting reaction, was how is it that the news media, which bombarded us with this story every minute of the day while it was occurring and provided endless and useless speculation and punditry during that time, dropped the story ENTIRELY once the predators were captured?

Why is this so often the case with the "news" media? How many people who were subjected to the endless tirade of coverage today know WHAT IT WAS REALLY ALL ABOUT? How could such important information not be communicated to the families of the victims and the people who were terrorized during this ordeal?

Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer are prophetic voices for our time. When 911 first occurred and I heard the name Osama bin Laden my response was "Who?" I have learned a great deal since then and understand the threat that Islam poses to the West in particular, but the whole world as well. It's a threat that the American people, our political leaders, and our useless media are either ignorant of or not willing to face squarely.

The main threat to our way of life and perhaps western civilization is Islamofascism, not sexism, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, or even Global Warming. In 1999, Abu Hamza al-Marsi, the imam of London's Finsbury Park mosque, said "Islam needs the sword. Whoever has the sword, he will have the earth." IRAN IS CLOSE TO ACQUIRING THE SWORD and only one nation in the world is determined to stop it. That nation is ISRAEL! The reason is that only THAT NATION understands the true intentions of Islam, as amply documented in its 'holy scriptures' AND numerous documents, commentary and ACTIONS!

Theo van Gogh didn't express any anxiety about the threats to his life after the release of his TV movie "Submission" in 2004, but he was begging for mercy when his Islamic assailant shot and repeatedly stabbed him on the streets of Amsterdam. Do we even want to contemplate begging for our lives if this NEMESIS is not eliminated? It most assuredly will NOT BE CONVERTED!
