GIVE PEACE A CHANCE

Reader comment on item: Israel's [Fatigue and Its] Moment of Truth

Submitted by Ako Gideon (United Arab Emirates), Jul 28, 2008 at 06:16

I wish that leaders and decision makers in Isreal, in particular, United States, Europe and rest of the world, do read through this article, and let it have an impact in their vision to a peaceful world. It's time for everyone to keep aside pride in winning war against their enemies and think of giving peace a chance. If we want peace we must be ready to offer peace to others, as everybody loves peace.

The Isrealis and the Arabs, as well as the rest of the world, no doubt, want to live happily in peace, and this will not come without sacrifices. For the seek of peace we should make the necessary sacrifices now before it is too late. We cannot afford to hand over a world of hatred and terror to our children.

Just as we all feel threatened and are tackling climate change, we should also feel the same towards terrorism, and learn from past mistakes that peace is never achieved by force.
