Oh. Lovely.Reader comment on item: Canada's Immigration Chaos, Mahmoud Mohammad, and Me Submitted by Sharkibark (Canada), Sep 16, 2008 at 17:38 "Not only that, but the poor man requires monthly check-ups and visits a cardiologist and endocrinologist every six months to manage his diabetes and heart disease. " I was born in Canada.... and moved to Guelph, Ontario to be with my husband almost 10 years ago. I still don't have a family doctor here, and must wait in line often 4 -5 hours at a walk in clinic to see a doctor. The few times I have done that, I am only allowed to speak about one ailment or concern - if I have more then one I have to get back in the end of the line. Needless to say - I'm in my mid-fourties and have not had access to any of the preventative medicine that I should - pap smears, mammograms or a regular physical to check blood pressure or cholesterol. But that piece of garbage has a "House"-like team of medical professionals fawning over him. Lovely.
