Pipes is Right on This OneReader comment on item: The Secret Pictures of Senior Airman Ahmad al Halabi Submitted by Mark Dankof (United States), Apr 5, 2004 at 17:09 I do not share Mr. Pipes enthusiasm for the State of Israel or ...foreign policy in the Middle East. This is a matter of public record. But he raises legitimate and disturbing issues surrounding the breaches of national security represented by the al-Halabi case. I would insist that radical Islamic activists and subversives be busted out of the United States Armed Forces and the country itself across-the-board.At the same time, I believe it legitimate to question the ultimate loyalty to America of individuals in the Bush Administration and Congress with palpable economic and political ties to the Israeli government of Ariel Sharon and its lobbyists in the United States. In both instances, an America First foreign policy which embraces Washington's Farewell Address warnings about foreign entanglements must be reasserted with a vengeance.
