We are bound to loose the war on terrorismReader comment on item: Moderate Muslims March in Phoenix Submitted by C Freed (United States), May 1, 2004 at 01:49 I agree that Americans distrust and are inwardly and sometimes outwardly hostile to the Muslim community. It is not just the targeted killing of civilians worldwide, lack of dissenting views, the treatment of women, uncontrolled birthrates or the intolerance they show of other religions. The events of the Middle East are not the cause of terror and hostility in the world. They are the porthole of the future of the world.Homegrown terrorism in the US will become reality unless there is a better plan to stop teaching intolerance. You cannot teach pornography in the schools, but you can teach hatred and intolerance with federal dollars in the Mosques. Anti-hate laws should be enacted, and curriculum approval in the schools should be required to qualify for Federal funds. Comparative religions course should be a requirement of all schools. Imported books from Saudi Arabia that teach killing of Christians and Jews in the Mosques of major US cities should be banned. Otherwise we will slowly lose the war on terrorism. If not by choice then by coercion, then by sword will be the way of the world.
