Bravo To Lieberman's Maiden Speech

Living in the eye of the Islamic storm-having recently made aliyah- I feel particularly entitled to comment on the speech made by Lieberman.

It is ONLY because he minced no words, spoke with conviction and 'took no prisoners', that I feel hopeful. Not Obama-style hopeful, but in a real and concrete way. In other words, appeasing our genocidal foes-and they ARE genocidal-is a suicidal course.

Most normal people, whether from the left, center or right surely must seek survival as their first goal as EVERYTHING emanates from that premise. In this regard, if Lieberman succeeded in causing the appeasers in our midst to squirm, then his maiden speech was a true success.

This does not mean that I agree with all his policies. The fact that he wants to hand over any Jewish lands, even those heavily Arab in a convoluted 'swap' is a recipe for disaster. Aside for the fact that all the land he refers to is indeed Jewish land, one does not give up ones land to anyone, least of all ones enemies.

On the whole he is a good choice for FM as he can be counted on to put the anti-zionists/anti-semites in their places in a forceful, non wishy washy manner.

Bravo to Lieberman.
