Far Left and Far Right are the same...Reader comment on item: Islamists and the Left Working Together in Muslim-majority Countries Submitted by Ron Gerskup (Canada), Apr 22, 2009 at 04:44 I learned something from watching the Glenn Beck Program on FoxNews that may explain the link between the Left and Right in many cases. He believes that what is known as the Far Left and the Far Right are on the same side of the political spectrum. They BOTH believe that Government should control every apect of its citizens' lives. The other side of the spectrium is No Government At All. This is Anarchy and is as undesirable as a Far Left (Communist) or Far Rght (Fascist) government. This explains why Cuba's Castro can be a Dictator in a communist country. It's about government control, not Left or Right. If Beck is right, this may explain why Islamists and the Left (I will assume this as meaning the Far Left) find bridging their differences so easy. Comments?
