re obesityReader comment on item: The Middle East Explodes with Obesity Submitted by Tess McNamara (Australia), Jul 17, 2009 at 11:58 Dear Dr Daniel Pipes, as one whom has always had a problem with my weight, I should think that if a man truly loved a woman, her heart her soul and if he recognised how deeply she loved him then her body would not matter, but what is inside her should matter far more. I am a poor romantic soul who believes that love, when it is true, will last for eternity and not be based upon a womans body shape or size, but the woman inside, that she is, how she loves, how she treats the man she adores, and worships, as her soul mate or kindred spirit. The way that a woman treats the man she loves, is more important- a man needs to ask himself, if I was ever in danger, would she be prepared to protect my life with her own, and if the answer to that is yes, then he should recognise her love is pure and for eternity and respect and admire her and be fond of her if not love her all time too. A shallow man indeed would be more concerned with a womans body size, and ignore her soul her heart and most important the depth of her real love for him above all other. Women for ever have been made to feel objects of just sex, they are human beings with souls, with feelings and with hearts that when broken, never heal , never ever stop loving the other. Love will always love for eternity. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
