Who is our enemy?

I believe in the theory of the clash of civilizations. Islam by itself is not a civilization but it is an important component of a civilization .In the 20th Century the Western Civilization had to oppose the Communist ideology and fascism, both products of the Western culture but not based on religions. In the 21 century West must oppose spread of aggressive ideologies based on Islam . The battle is hard because the West should not become an enemy of Isalm as the religion but it has to oppose the ideas that are rooted in Islam such as jihad. and terrorism.In this confronttion we should distinguish between the methods used by radical Islamists and the objective they have in mind. Terorrism is the method they use ,the objective is a global domination.Terrorism is an inexpensive method that can brak the will of the West.

The radical Islamists do not have regular armies equipped with connventional weapons. Killing civilians is easier and more effective. Since the 7th century Islam has been expanding by sword and now includes about one billion people. With the threat of usyng nuclear weapons getting the rest of the planet should not be too hard. All that is needed is the Western lack of strong military and moral force combined with the liberal ideas of cultural coexistence regardless of the threat to the WEstern tradition and culture. .

Our window of opportunity to wiun this confrontation is narrow due to nuclear weaponry prolifereyion .Sooner or later a group of Isalmic Terrorists will getor buy neclear weapons.
