Ideological war

I agree with the idea that we are in an ideological war. All wars are casused by clashes in ideologies. The enemy knows what his ideology is. But what ideology does secular America embrace? It appears that we cannot have an ideology or we are told that all ideologies are equal. How can we win an ideological war when we don't espouse our own ideology?
