A question of Ethics.

Reader comment on item: American Taxpayers Promote Islam on My Website

In fact, Ramadan has a multi-traditional facet inside the same sects of Islam. That difference is well seen between 2 Sunni-majority-societies i.e. Arabian Gulf and Morocco. So the topic itself is, with no doubt, interesting to observe.

As far as the core of Dr. Pipes' notification is concerned, adding sense, as I understand it, is basically a [adding] value. I would see it matching better with what civilized people calls [and lives] "ethics". How would "AdSense" be used in a such unethical manner? I wouldn't imagine that using the people property i.e. website without the person prior permission would happen in a civilized country like the US. What if the user was the state itself that is entitled, first and foremost, to protect the people rights and properties?

Islamism is trying hard to change the identity of the whole world including the "Dream of America". Islamists succeeded so far (and still) in to infiltrating inside the American education, culture and economy under different masks, messages and pretexts. All that could be discussed, quietly and freely planed under the great umbrella of Democracy!?

Comment: Would a successful website like Dr. Pipe's with a high traffic rating become a target to be [ab]used? Although I'm not sure whether my query makes sense or not, I personally hope the answer would be "YES" for Goodness i.e. Promoting the value of genuine Peace and "NO" for badness i.e. Terrorism (Kidding? No:))

In Today's mad and unethical world, investigating (as questioning would bring some dishonest response those days) peoples about their perception for Goodness becomes a must. Can the US governement answer such ligitimate query? The Jihad that consists of killing --- i.e. "sinners" [i.e. Jews], "infidels" [i.e. Christians] "lost believers" [i.e. Moderate-non-Islamic Muslims] ...-- for the sake of Allah cannot be, in my simple view to The GREAT LORD, neither a legitimate act nor an act of Goodness.

I wouldn't and never expect something normal, ethical and civilized from my backward environment i.e. the majority of Arab-Islamic regimes. Reading about such an unpredictable thing happening in America makes me worry about a possible similarity that is being shaped between the "Dream of America" and the dictatorship of Arab world.

"We are living in a mad world," as well said it Professor Barry Rubin.

Although scary, I thank you, Dr. Pipes, for sharing one of the most unpredictable things of Today's America.

Norma
