Palestinians only get financial support from "Brethren Arabs" for Murders committedReader comment on item: Israel is Winning Submitted by Lila B. Reisman (United States), Aug 7, 2002 at 13:13 Your article is somewhat consoling, but I personally think that before long, a goodhistory lesson has to be circulated by the Israelis with back up proof in the form of the letter sent from the U.N. regarding the offering of a Palestinian state in 1947 (rejected) at the time that Israel was offered the same and accepted it. There are recordings in Arabic from the Grand Mufti, revving up the Palestinians to fight the Jews, and from their Arab "Brethren" in neighboring states to accept their military help in driving the Jews into the Sea. We know how history negated that and although they all took part in the War of Independence, the Israelis won...as they did in subsequent wars. The 1967 war finally allowed East Jerusalem and especially the Western Wall to be returned to the Jews. Up until then, we used to stand on as tall a building as we could find in West Jerusalem in hopes of getting a peek at the Wall. During that time, Jordan was supposedly overseeing the East Jerusalem properties and our Holy places only to find that there was considerable destruction done to them and not even the Jordanians came to our rescue. As an aside, when we gave back the Sinai territory to Egypt, we even obliged them by closing down a successful Israeli kibbutz on that side as part of our Peace Plan...yet, today, the Egyptians still would try to fight Israel if they thought other Arab forces would join them. What ever happened to "To the Victor belongs the spoils'? Maybe, we in the U.S. should return California to Mexico, Florida and the Indian lands to their respected "owners" and see how we would agree to that! There is so much history that is never told to the Palestinians and Arab "brothers" and to the rest of the world, such as the fact that Jews fought along the side of the Allies in WW II, while the Arab nations took up arms to fight along side the Axis forces. So why are we forgetting where our sentiments should lie? There is so much buried information regarding the Arab neighbors and the basis of the relationship with the U.S. that spells "Oil" that we must use our technological wisdom to replace that commodity as soon as possible so we can be free of this issue. Already, cars are being developed to obviate the need for gasoline and we have to continue with this program...regardless of whom in our "Big Government" has been receiving big funds from the oil benefits. As to the Palestinian's poor economy and lack of food, etc., I am sorry...so perhaps the Saudi Arabian Leaders. the Iranian Leaders, the Iraqi leaders and the Jordanian Leaders will hold a mammoth lottery to support their brethren to live a better life instead of dying in order to gain financial support.
