An Islamist defined

It is not very difficult to define an Islamist. The following can be a working definition:

A person who believes that common human principles of ethics, justice, and fairness can be sacrificed for the sake of Islam is an Islamist.

For instance, if you believe that Bangladesh has any greater right to be a Islamic republic than the USA has a right to be a Christian republic, then you are an Islamist.

If you believe that a person is worthy of unfriendliness just because he is a Jew, you are an Islamist.

If you believe that democratic principles ought to be applied in non-Islamic countries but not in the muslim majority country, you are a Islamist.

You don't have to commit an act of terror to be an Islamist. Just your beliefs can make you so.
