Rethinking the jihadist mindReader comment on item: 'Theater of the absurd' coming to an airport near you Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Feb 26, 2010 at 04:18 If profiling isn't the way to detect a would-be terrorist, then what is? Someday the Islamists may realise that violence is not the way to persuade people to join Islam, that by imploding the infrastructure from within by non-violent means makes more sense. After all, a smooth-talking salesman can sell just about anything, but a brute will lose out every time. Unfortunately, between the would-be terrorists and new and silly TSA regulations, little has changed in our security, and our belief that any government can protect its people one hundred per cent of the time has once again been shaken. Israel comes at the top for airport security because of the way they deal with travelers, and the US could learn a few things from this example.
