Your original comment doesn't present any facts at all, otherwise I would happily have responded to them. For the record, my post was not at all about CAIR--it was about human nature. I detest CAIR as much as anyone else here, but I also believe that attacking from a weak position doesn't benefit one's cause.

Carmen, I have to say that I don't believe for a moment that you have a PhD in neuroscience. I say this a) because you are wrong, and b) because you actually chose to put "PhD" at the end of your name in what amounts to a chat room. Folks with PhD's just don't stoop that low. I will gladly stand corrected if you're able to produce a credible online bio, but I'm willing to bet that now that I've challenged your credentials you either simply won't respond to this post, or will respond with another nonsensical tirade of acrimonious gibberish.

For anyone else reading (as Carmen is clearly intractable on this topic), there has been an overwhelming amount of research done on human cognitive bias. I would argue that it's the single most interesting and most humbling area of psychological study. Everything I said in my prior post not only isn't rubbish; it comes from a massive body of rigorously tested psychological theory. So, I would say that it was a successful attempt to justify my position.
