How to fight this onslaughtReader comment on item: Waging Jihad Through the American Courts Submitted by Kurt Basking (United States), Mar 29, 2010 at 03:52 Dear Dr Pipes: Islamic onslaught on the non-Islamic people is occurring on all fronts. The worst sections of the Islamic world (admitted that they are not "true Muslims"!) are intimidating the non-muslims via their violent attacks on helpless civilian targets (such as today's attack in the Moscow subway). The muslim organizations and intelligentia in non-muslim countries (such as CAIR), on the one hand, are shedding crocodile tears when such attacks happen and, on the other, are using the liberal and progressive policies of the non-muslim countries to shamelessly advance their agenda. The Islamic governments are also essentially following a similar policy of crocodile tears combined with advancement of selfish agenda. Ordinary muslims are keeping quiet while all this is going on but provide political, moral and financial support to the above causes. There is infinitesimally small section of Muslims that actively opposes what is going on in the Islamic world. All in all, the whole set up is selfish and hopeless. How to fight this onslaught? 1. Oppose Islamic hypocrisy as often as possible. 2. Do not resort to Islamist's methods to oppose them. 3. Follow your own religion --whether athiesm, agnosticism, Buddism, Christianity, Judaism, or Hinduism-- with as much dignity as possible. Fulfill your spiritual needs. 4. Raise your standards even higher when around Muslims. In some ways this is a war between styles of living. And better styles need to follow higher standards. 5. In this day and age of communication, what is available in free, modern and progressive societies and what is missing in Islamic ones will be known to all Muslims very quickly. Muslim societies have very little to show for the enormous amount of oil wealth that is flowing into them. Individual muslims around the world will soon start realizing that blaming other societies for their problems is counterproductive. They will realize that it is Islam --as it is being practiced today-- that is failing Muslims. 6. Do whatever is possible to stop a violent attack like the Moscow subway attack today or the Mumbai train attack last year or the 9/11 attack, or the Bali attack, or the Madrid train attack, or the Mumbai 26/11 attack (the list goes on and on and on) without launching a similar attack yourself.
