Little different; true

For many reasons (beyond the scope of this piece) I believe Barack Obama is more dangerous than George W. Bush. With respect to Islam and Mr. Bush's dishonesty, his apologetics, (dare I say lies?), etc., there is little difference between the two men; except perhaps that Obama has deeper sympathies for the world of Islam than Bush; if that is possible.

I voted for then Governor Bush in 2000, hoping for the best. Bush professed to be a Christian, unlike his father. Following the 9/11 Muslim-terror atrocities in New York and Washington and Bush's troubling responses -- as this piece indicates, his "Islam is a religion of peace" / "the terrorists are traitors to their faith, trying in effect to hijack Islam itself" rhetoric, and his declared "vision" to establish a Muslim-terror state in Israel -- I had to look elsewhere, other than the conservative movement for clues. As it turns out, George. W. Bush, his father and close family friends, are profoundly compromised when it comes to the Saudis. The Bush family maintained an intimate financial relationship with Saudi royals and Saudi princes for many years. It can be argued, the Saudis , in part, helped "W" reach the position he obtained in life.

What was and is disconcerting is the appalling silence on the part of conservatives and Republican leaders about all these egregious things the former president did and said while in office, post 9/11. Bush's repeated lies about Islam, the nature of this war, Israel, etc., along with the complicity and the silence of conservatives and Republicans enabled the rise of Barack Hussein Obama; sadly.
