What Peace Activists? What Israeli Fiasco?

After seeing video of the IDF boarders being attacked with knives and clubs by "peace activists", I salute the IDF for refraining from withdrawal, torpedoing the boats, and waiting a looooooooooooooong time before sending anything to rescue to the survivors. The whole thing was clearly a provocation. Yes, you're sorry for Gaza just as you're sorry for a dog bleeding and dying by the side of the highway--but the dog wouldn't have been in its predicament if it hadn't run out to try and bite the tires of a moving car.

For my whole adult life, I've seen "progressive", "humanist", "tolerant", and "pacifist" used as cover for the defenders of utterly vicious and violent regimes and movements. The folks who claim these labels decry international war, but advocate class and ethnic war; they accuse the rest of us of being "racist" at the drop of a hat, but the minute you ask them why their beloved Marxism didn't unleash the "unprecedented productive forces" it promised, they blame it all on the stupid Slavic Untermensch and the fact that the best of Cuba's white population now lives in Miami.

If I didn't like a bit of improvement in life, art, letters, neighbors of different backgrounds, and the absence of political violence or war, I'd probably be happy to describe myself as "reactionary", "bigoted", and "militarist" (then again, most soldiers I've met didn't have much love for war, either).

I'm frankly disgusted.
