Which is good for them, because should they ever try to proselytize the local population, they'll get thrown out of the country. While respecting freedom of faith -- including of changing faith --, Morocco *still* forbids active proselytism and *has* already deported some evangelicals in the past. To avoid misunderstandings: I don't condone this and I am actually opposed to this particular law; I'm just stating facts. Having said that, to Dr. Pipes article: I grew up in Rabat in the 70-ies and 80-ies, and we've had a lot of European (mostly French) neighbors in the vicinity. This was actually perceived as being very positive. And indeed, they changed the landscape to the better. The article you're talking about stems from a recent PJD agitprop campaign against westerners. I'd respectfully suggest that you keep a watchful eye on those PJD Islamists who are increasingly becoming a nuisance, if not outright a menace.
