CAIR Instructs the Police about Islam – The Indoctrinization of the WestReader comment on item: CAIR Instructs the Police about Islam Submitted by Angry Scotsman (United States), Jun 3, 2010 at 22:38 "The Council on American-Islamic Relations aspires to guide public policy toward Muslims and toward this end has published a 127-page PDF document for a seminar, "Islam and Muslims: What Law Enforcement Should Know (Pipes, 2010). Upon looking at this on the surface, the idea of any community-based efforts to narrow the cultural-gap between police forces and minority groups is usually a welcomed idea, and for the most part, can be a productive and informative venture. That most North American urban-based police forces have generally adopted a policy of recruiting new police officers/constables from a diverse segment of the populations which they are charged in serving and protecting is commendable. (The Toronto Metropolitan Police Force employs Sikhs who are also permitted to don the turban). However, one is inclined to take umbrage at the mere mention of it, when the idea originates from the offices of CAIR. For the most part, the 127-page document is nothing less than an attempt to indoctrinate those who read it, and possesses little to do with any real 'sensitivity training' as it relates to the daily duties of actual policing activities. As Mr. Pipes quite correctly points out, "Do street cops really need to learn about attitudes to female newborns in pre-Islamic Arabia?" (p. 81). CAIR's attempt at serving up a 'Cliff's Notes' historical summary of the peaceful tenets of Islam, and the unequivocal moral foundations upon which it is based, is tantamount to previously seen attempts of 're-writing' history in the face of contrary historical evidence. The dilemma which most Western civilizations face is in separating fact from fiction, (or in this case, separating demonstrable facts about the inherent violent teachings against the infidel, contained within the Qur'an and reconciling those graphic written accounts with Muslims who apparently appear to function well within a Westernized culture). For the un-initiated, and the un-informed, organizations such as CAIR continue to 'muddy the waters' of public opinion, and continue to raise doubts within the minds of the average US citizen, and allowing them a degree of latitude. What seems to escape the minds of most is that the core foundation of jihad, by which Islam has managed to expand, conquer and control territories, is still being played out today, yet in a less immediately recognizable way. Instead of conquering by the sword, today's jihad is being slowly accomplished via the same laws which gave birth to western democracies. Western democracies, through their own sense of equitable justice, are permitting and are enabling their own demise by allowing portions of Islamic Sharia law to become incorporated within small enclaves of Muslim communities residing in European nations. One needs only attempt to 'reverse' the situation of this sensitivity awareness, within Islamic nations to realize that Muslim tolerance of Christian or Jewish views are entirely absent, and even the simple American tourist who desires to visit the Pyramids (and happens to be carrying along a Bible) is persecuted, and their Bible is confiscated. The disparity in 'the lack of sensitivity' appears not to emerge from the European or North American sphere, but is well rooted within the mindset of Islamic countries and those that even reside within many western nations. CAIR is simply an organizational tool designed to penetrate and soften the walls of western democracy, and is intended to legitimize Islam's foothold within those regions. The pitfall which most Europeans and North Americans face is in their acceptance of Islam as being just another religion within the mosaic of a multi-cultural society. Islam is not designed to function within a democracy. Islam's ambition is to supplant (conquer) and replace the existing and established modality of all religion and style of governance. Assimilation and integration is not their intent or purpose. Europeans are now waking up to this reality, and are now witnessing the back-lash of their previous faulty open, permissive, and unrestricted immigration policies. CAIR is merely the 'foot-soldier' in a much larger ambitious invasion. Make no mistake – when public opinion in the United States recognizes and begins to accept the propaganda that "[m]uslims may have visited America before Columbus. (Petroglyphs found in New Mexico with Arabic inscriptions)" (p. 41), it becomes one step closer in succumbing to the fraud designed in ultimately tearing this nation apart, piece by piece. The fall of the Twin Towers in New York City is diminished, in comparison, with the greater long term plan that Islamists have in store for us.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
