Hostages to Islam and stockholm syndromeReader comment on item: Ridding the West of Pigs, Pork, Pig Stories, and Piggybanks Submitted by Ted (United States), Jul 3, 2010 at 22:08 Dear Dr Pipes: In some sense non-muslims of the world have become hostages to Islam. Unlike Muslims, most muslims do not advertise their religion on buses and billboards, they do not block streets routinely to pray, they do not take time off to pray in the middle of the working day, they do not routinely dress to reflect their religion, they do not routinely pray on loud speakers at odd hours, they do not go on bragging that their beliefs are the only good ones and one day the entire world will follow those beliefs. While most non-muslims do not assert their religious rights (and non-rights) in respect to other people, Muslims have no qualms about doing so. Muslims have taken the world as hostage. Every action that our people and governments do, has to be done while keeping Islamist cry-babies in mind. The conversion of so many people to Islam could be partly due to this hostage-taking and resulting stockholm syndrome -- if your street is blocked every Friday for prayers by a mob, you might eventually start believing that it is easier to join the blockers than to resist.
