Islam and the WestReader comment on item: Is Islam at War with the U.S.? Submitted by funnuface1 (United States), Oct 16, 2010 at 18:00 I understand the anxiety over Islam. Islam is a powerful doctrine which is expanding fast specially in Europe. It is difficult to argue who is bringing death and destruction to whom. If we look at Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, it is the Muslims who are facing death and destruction. This will only make them resolute, strong and more influential. Islam has many aspects, political Islam thrives under militancy. Unfortunately for the West, it proclaims to uphold certain "Western values" that prevent them from discriminating against Muslim citizens of Europe/USA. Unless Europe/USA turn fascist themselves, they will not prevent the Islamic tide. Labelling Islam 'fascist' makes it difficult for the West to act like them. So the best action for the West will be to join them and lead them which was what the Romans did when they became Christians, or the Mongols did when they became Muslims. Submitting....
