idol worshipReader comment on item: Mecca Mean Time? Submitted by Rosa France (United States), Dec 13, 2010 at 23:50 I was raised Roman Catholic. As a child, protestants I knew would try to tell me that Catholics worshiped Mary and the saints. It wasn't until I left the church, that I realized they were right. If it quacks like a duck, it is probably a duck. If it is long and wide with a mattress, it is probably a bed, not a chair, not a table. What Muslims do in Mecca, is definite idol worship, although they probably don't see it that way, as I did not when I was worshiping Mary. Kissing a black stone is no different from kissing the feet of a statue. Neither honors God, neither honors Allah. Jesus said there would come a day when people would worship God not in a building, or on a mountain, or some other holy site, but in Spirit and in Truth. I'm still awaiting that day.
