East must follow WestReader comment on item: Why a Non-American Should Promote American Interests Submitted by kamekish (India), Jan 3, 2011 at 11:10 I fully agree with your views and I agree without doubt which many from East will not agree with me. But East has no where to look for future than towards West. Indian or Chinese have to take clue only from West for their prosperity, security and future. For innovation we look towards west, for future products, we look towards West, for vision and future policies, we look towards West. "American interests are world interests", it is correct. Somehow USA is more democratic than any other nations in the world, Americans are more open to democratic views than anybody else in the world, American takes care of the interest of the people across the world. When USA attacked Iraq and Afghanistan, it was proved beyond doubt that the war will bring peace to this world. And it is proven today. As an independent Indian, I have not many from East towards whom look for wisdom which will take me to next year or next decade. Our leaders, media, books, ideas etc all are shortsighted lack vision. Its all Americans who provide those resources to us. If at all I expect to do something worth tomorrow, its all because of some Americans somewhere. This world needs America and I hope they will not fail us.
