The 1939 Phoney Referendum Administered by the Turks & their small Community in Al Iskandaruna

Reader comment on item: Is the Hatay/Alexandretta Problem Solved?
in response to reader comment: hatay itself chose to join Turkey

the Referendum was Phoney.... because many many Turkish & Kurdish citizens were bussed in from Central Anatolia & beyond, in order to vote for secession /illegal secession from Historic Syria....

the number of MP's & Representatives.... were falsified by the Turks, & 100,000 Arabs, christian Arabs - muslim Arabs & "Alawiyyun Arabs were deported in the turbulence.... & the melee !!!!!!

(& many Armenians were also illegally deported to other parts of Syria, & accompanied the expelled Arabs !!)

thank you!
