Submitted by Fadi Yasine (United Kingdom), Jun 28, 2011 at 23:26 Alexandretta has Arabs (mainly 'Alawi Syrian Arabs ) and Armenians from the 275 year Kingdom.... which was known in history as the "Armenian Kingdom of CILICIA " , then Turkish colonists or immigrants were artificially settled there in the 1930's (in 1938 & afterwards....) in order to change this indigenous Demographic composition..... not to mention the Arabs & some Armenians too.... who were forcibly removed in 1939; their numbers ranged from 70,000 to 100,000 .
