RaviReader comment on item: Gibbon, Oxford, and Islam Submitted by Hassan (United States), Feb 24, 2011 at 00:52 Thanks Ravi; I like your ideas actually, but Muslims have many schools of thought. The most famous ones are Sunni and Shea'a. These categories also have different subcategories, such as Wahabi, Suphie and many many others. The problem I see with most comments is that they usually generalize the ideas they have on all Muslims and all branches, which is really wrong. Quran is one version but with different interpretations. Quran were written in 26 years. Some of these years were in peace, and some were in war. The instructions were about specific situations at that certain time. Unfortunately many use religion for political and social reasons by focusing on different verses in Quran. Thanks Ravi for being cool in your comment. i tried at first to be polite, but I got bad replies that changed my style. Sorry
