AL-BASHIR & DICTATOR M. GADDAFI

The fatalism of Muammar al-Gaddafi : Ghana Business News
Feb 27, 2011 ... The fatalism of Muammar al-Gaddafi... Gaddafi was able to arm-twist fellow African leaders (except the level-headed Botswana) to support Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir who has been charged with crimes against humanity in the Darfur catastrophe. Now with his killings of peaceful demonstrators, the wheel has turned and Gaddafi now faces the prospects of charges of crime against humanity.

Bashir also visited Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi in Tripoli, the capital of Libya. Qaddafi had his own ideas about uniting Arabs and welcomed Bashir. Qaddafi was ready to supply oil, weapons, and tactical support for the Sudanese army. In July 1989, the two leaders signed a Union Treaty calling for a merger of Sudan and Libya. Bashir later praised the treaty as "a first step towards the full unity of the Arab world."

When Sudan's war in the south resumed, Libyan pilots flew bombing missions against the SPLA. In return, Bashir allowed Libyan troops to use western Sudan as a base to attack Chad. At the time, Chad was involved in a civil war similar to Sudan's. In Chad, however, the Christian and animist southerners held power and northern Muslims were the rebels. Qaddafi wanted to overthrow the president of Chad, southerner Hissène Habré, and replace him with a Muslim from northern Chad. In December 1990, the Chadian rebels, with Libyan help, defeated Habré and made Idriss Déby president of Chad.

Blacks, Farrakhan In Dispute Over Slavery In Sudan - Sun Sentinel
Mar 24, 1996 ... Farrakhan's support of the Sudan comes as the Islamic government of Lt. Gen. Omar Ahmed al-Bashir, the current president, is engaged in a civil war that pits the largely Arab Muslim north against the mainly Christian and animist blacks in the country's south.

In recent years, officials in the United Nations and the U.S. government have accused the Sudanese government of condoning a traffic in human beings.

According to these organizations, Sudanese soldiers and Muslim militias who have been armed by the government have transported captured blacks to the north, where they are used as household slaves.

"It's war booty," said Jemera Rone, a field representative for Human Rights Watch/Africa who has visited the Sudan twice in the last three years.

Dafur & Armenian Genocide: PM Erdogan "A Muslim can never commit genocide."
Tundra Tabloids 9 November 2009

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan: No dhimmi can judge a Muslim.

The Turks still refuse to come to terms with their history of genocide of the Armenian people. Successive Turkish governments were responsible for the state murder of over 2 million Armenians and 300 000 Greeks.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan: "It's not possible for a Muslim to commit genocide," he said. "That's why we are comfortable [with the visit of al-Bashir]."

Turkish PM,Tayyip Erdogan's, statement is eerily reminiscent of what OIC (Organization of the Islamic Conference) secretary general Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu stated to the Tundra Tabloids last year in Helskini about Islamic anti-Semitism:

OIC sec-gen Ihsanoglu

"..you cannot speak about any Muslim, good or bad, as anti-Semitic, this is a theory, this is not the case."

This is the exact same kind of denial as Recep Tayyip Erdog(an's, concerning the Armenian genocide by successive Turkish governments, which shows an Islamic supremacist frame of mind. What is most likely, is that these two Turks are exhibiting the same anger and frustration over the fact that non-Muslims (read = Dhimmis) are holding Muslims accountable for their actions, and that, for a Muslim, is something that cannot be allowed under any circumstance. That, more than anything else, including racism and genocide, is what bothers these two Muslim leaders the most.
Sudanese President Bashir's visit to Turkey in limbo

Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has pushed back his planned visit to Turkey, Turkish aviation officials said on Sunday, adding that the controversial leader canceled his Sunday flight without any explanation.

It was not clear whether al-Bashir will come to Turkey on Monday or Tuesday for a summit of Islamic nations, the officials added, according to a report by the Dog(an news agency.

The statement came hours after Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdog(an defended al-Bashir's visit by saying, "A Muslim can never commit genocide."

"Those world leaders who criticize us, have they ever visited Darfur? Their information is solely based on what the rapporteurs are reporting. These kinds of moves will not contribute to world peace," Erdog(an said Sunday in an address to party members.

"It's not possible for a Muslim to commit genocide," he said. "That's why we are comfortable [with the visit of al-Bashir].

An irrational, obscene hatredJun 7, 2010 ... 'Shut up. Go back to Auschwitz." That was the response from the "peace flotilla" when Israel broadcast a radio message warning the Turkish flotilla that it was about to enter an area under naval blockade. In another response, someone on board the "humanitarian aid convoy" replied: "We're helping the Arabs go against the US. Don't forget 9/11, guys." After these exchanges, IDF commandos landed on the ships. On the Mavi Marmara they were attacked by pro-Palestinian activists wielding iron bars.

Turkish papers have now published photographs of soldiers bleeding badly as they are assaulted by thugs.

Eventually the commandos shot back in self-defense and nine activists were killed. It was a disaster for Israel and a triumph for those who hate Israel, Jews and the West. Bulent Yildirim, head of the Turkish Islamist organization IHH, which organized the flotilla, exulted in a speech to an audience he called "people of paradise." "Last night, everything in the world has changed, and everything is progressing toward Islam," he said.

Boston Globe Rights group slams arrest of Turkish journalists
Rights group slams arrest of Turkish journalists .
Sunday, 06 March 2011 00:17 Mohideen Mifthah.

ANKARA, March 5, 2011 (AFP) - A human rights group condemnned Saturday the recent arrest of journalists in Turkey and urged the country to show its commitment to press freedom as it seeks European Union membership.
Ten people, most of them well-known journalists, were placed in preventive detention Thursday on suspicion of an alleged plot against the Islamist-rooted government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Those arrested include Ahmet Sik and Nedim Sener, two prominent journalists known for critical reporting on the Turkish criminal justice system and police, Human Rights Watch said.
Sik is co-author of a book about the investigations and trials in the Ergenekon case - named after an organisation allegedly at the centre of a conspiracy. He had been working on a book about the police.
Sener had written a book on the murder of Hrant Dink, a well-known journalist and human rights defender, and the investigation into his killing.
"In the absence of evidence that the police have credible reason to think Ahmet Sik and Nedim Sener are responsible for wrongdoing, their arrests are a disturbing development," said Emma Sinclair-Webb, Turkey researcher at HRW.
"It raises concerns that what is now under investigation is critical reporting rather than coup plots."The opposition and a substantial part of the media say the supposed conspiracy, which has led to the incarceration of hundreds of opposition figures since 2007, is a means of stifling all political dissent in Turkey.
After the latest wave of arrests the European Union and the United States expressed concern about press freedom in Turkey.
Most of the journalists detained Thursday are critics of the Turkish government. The law allows them to be questioned for four days before they are taken to court to be freed or charged.
Three other journalists were arrested and charged two weeks ago
In three months time elections are to be held in Turkey at which Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP) will seek a third term.
Erdogan refused Friday any government intervention in an "independent judicial system."Thousands of people, many of them journalists turned out Friday in Istanbul and Ankara to condemn the arrests.

Thousands Mourn Turkish Islamist Leader
Wall Street Journal
[March 1, 2011]
BY MARC CHAMPION
ISTANBUL—Tens of thousands of Turks turned out Tuesday to mourn the death of Necmettin Erbakan, the country's first Islamist prime minister.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan cut short a trip to Europe to attend the funeral, where a packed crowd outside Fatih Mosque chanted: "Mujahid [fighter for God] Erbakan," punching the air. Rows of mourners in side streets around the mosque and on the main boulevard knelt to pray.

In a mark of the central role Mr. Erbakan played as lifelong political leader of the country's religious conservatives, attendees at his burial service in Istanbul ranged from President Abdullah Gul...
