A note on the death of Bin laden

While everyone is "dancing in the streets" I have cause for alarm.

We are being fooled or are fooling ourselves if we think this is a time for exultation and flag waving. Killing Bin laden was not a great military accomplishment. By this time after so many years it has become purely cosmetic. It's just nice political theater. It's just symbolism. It's a "so what do we do next?" type of event. We are no more secure now then we were yesterday with Bin Laden dead or alive. We were forced to learn to live with the insecurity of Islamic terror.

What we've done is stirred the hornet's nest since the Islamists will only redouble their efforts to terrorize. Seeking death will be their reward. There is no way Obama can guarantee we are safe for another 9/11 attack, just because we "got" Bin laden and can now avoid some other tragic attack even if less comparable. Be assured it will come from Islamists or Muslims, whatever you want to call them, is not important.

Don't you understand the Muslims who hate us because to them we are the devil pulled off the most impressive ingenious feat ever recorded in all of history---I give them respect. They were willing to run a risk of killing only 3000 people to get 308,000,000 people to live in a constant state of insecurity or impending fear and at a great cost. Now that's a cost/benefit tradeoff I call an accomplishment of miracle proportions. A feat to be emulated by Muslims everywhere who hate America with a visceral intensity. Be on your guard, the war with terror ain't over with the death of Bin laden. It only heats it up. I'll not say but only let STRATFOR speculate when the war--whatever you want to call it--on terror, between civilizations ---is over. They're better at this than I am.

This country has never been the same since 9/11. Every day millions of Americans can't even get on a plane nowadays without taking off their shoes, or get groped. Every Federal, State Municipal building was converted into a sealed fortress. The rest of us must stand patiently in a line to enter a public building and then empty the contents of his or her pockets to inspected by xray. The implication is clear--every one of us is presumed to be a terrorist. If not, why the security? If something as important as a prospective 9/11 terror attack has a 1% chance of happening the Muslims have forced us to act as if it could very well be 100%.

Meanwhile, the Federal government continues to assure the people of the constant danger we are in and how they stand vigilantly ready to protect us -- which ironically only serves to reinforce and remindd us to be on guard of the danger Muslims are to America--The Great Satan.
