Why put up with those games that Westerners play?Reader comment on item: Understanding Post-Mubarak Egypt Submitted by Jeff (United States), May 4, 2011 at 08:54 Yes I do. It's as simple as that. Each day, I arrive at work and behave socially and productively with hundreds of people of different faiths, races and ethnic backgrounds. We respect each other and each other's beliefs. Same when I return each day to the neighborhood I live in. Millions of non-Buddhists around the world respect the Dalai Lama and are excited to have him visit their countries. By the way, when was the last time he visited an Islamic country? Democracy, freedom of speech, all those things you enjoy in the UK, were built on Greek/Judeo/Christian culture. That also, is as simple as that. Compare what you enjoy in the UK to the system of government of Islamic countries, where the most ruthless murderer gets to run the place and enrich himself and his relatives, who shove their wealth and power in the faces of everyone, until someone more ruthless knocks him off. Notice how leaders in the UK don't need to be murdered or chased out of the country to remove them from power. Sounds as though you like the Islamic system much better though; am I safe in assuming you'll soon be moving to a superior culture like the Islamic Republic of Pakistan or the Islamic Republic of Iran? Then you'd be away from those awful games that Westerners play. PS. Condolences on your hero bin Laden. PPS Was that you I saw, with like-minded Muslims, holding a sign on a street in London that said "democracy go to hell"? PPPS I suggest you leave your CD's and IPod in the UK when you move to Iran. They have a thing about music there, and the people who survive Iranian prison say it's a horrible experience.
