Before the PLO...Reader comment on item: [An Israeli] Withdrawal Won't Work Submitted by doody kaminskie (United States), May 1, 2002 ..And again you're very informative, however, I would like to remind you and your readers, that the terrorism was part of my childhood in Israel, and i was born 50 years ago. I don't remember one day without news from the borders, mostely from the Gaza strip and the west bank. But then the group was called FEDAYEEN, around 1959 or 1960, that the young Arafathad created the PLO of today. It's the same "lady" with different clothes. At that time before the six day war, the Jordanians legioners were ruling the west bank, and even then, the aim was to cut Israel into two halves, in around TulKarem and Natamya. which is an area about 7 miles wide. This idea never left the area. it was the Jordanians then and it's the Palestinians now. I believe Israel has and will find the right answer to terrorism. They allmost had it this time, but where stopped by their only ally -- the US. As Americans, we need to support our friends, and Israel is a true friend to the US. I know that, I was born there. Keep up the great job Daniel. I learned alot from you.
