Peace keeping in IsraelReader comment on item: The Islamic Threat Submitted by Mohamed Assam (United Kingdom), Jun 24, 2011 at 04:35 The Americans are not needed as peace keepers in Israel. The Israeli forces are capable of controlling their borders showing great restraint. I am Muslim but not an arab. I have visited Gaza and was allowed into Israel. I have cousins there (Arab) I have been in a town Ramat Gan when a missile attack started. A jewish family dragged me into their shelter for half an hour until the alarm was over. Talking to them they said if their rulers had the same mentality as the states surrounding them they would simply flatten the countries attacking them with conventional bombs or Nuclear weapons. I saw the truth in what they said. If the Hamas or Hizbu Allah had their weaponry they would destroy Israel. But Israel refrains from this. On visiting the mosques in Israel I found a freedom that I do not feel in my own country. I know Christians or Jews (and Muslims) in Saudi Arabia or Iran would not have. I would like to see Islam grow and become strong. But in my heart I feel that the people who will take control will use us for their own advancement. I feel torn and saddened by this.
