Turkey is headed down a bad path

The continuing events in Turkey, Islamist governing, stopping freedom of the press, isolationism from the Western world all do not bode well for Turkey's future. The next 5 or so years will be pivotal. If they vote Erdogan out, they have a chance. But he may take away that option before that happens. Look at Chavez.
